Sheri is a Partner at Ottenheimer Baker with a practice that includes a mix of corporate/commercial financings and acquisitions, civil and commercial litigation and wills and estates.
Sheri's professional and voluntary associations are extensive. She recently completed ten years on the executive of the Newfoundland and Labrador Branch of the Canadian Bar Association including the positions of: President, Past-President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Membership Chair and Communications Chair. Sheri has also served as the Editor of the Squid pro quo magazine, Chair of the Insurance Law Section, and Chair of the Civil Litigation Section. Sheri was also a member of the sub-committee of the Rules Committee of the Law Society which developed the first significant overhaul of Rule 55 (the scale of costs) since the inception of The Rules of the Supreme Court, 1986. Sheri was also a past-president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Diving Association, a volunteer and advisor with the Junior Achievement Company Program, as well as a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador 2005 Canada Summer Games Mission Staff. Sheri is currently a member of the CBA’s professional development committee, Chair of the CBA’s Awards Committee, and is the Vice-Chairman of the Bowring Park Foundation.
