Jack is a Partner at Ottenheimer Baker with a general litigation practice with a primary concentration in institutional personal injury, aboriginal law, civil rights and criminal law. Jack was an Inspector with the RCMP as well as a graduate of Senior Police Administration from the Canadian Police College in Ottawa, Ontario before he commenced his career in law.
Jack is a certified mediator, training through the Center of Conflict Resolution, University of Prince Edward Island. He is also a respected authority in the area of International Maritime Law and the Enforcement of Laws at Sea. He has conducted lectures with a focus on anti-terrorist activities, drug trafficking, fisheries enforcement, alien smuggling and the security of offshore oil and gas platforms, drill rigs and undersea pipelines.
Jack’s professional associations revolve closely to his fields of interest, primarily in maritime law (Canadian Maritime Law Association), aboriginal law (National Aboriginal Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association) and the ADR (Alternate Dispute Resolution) Institute of Canada.
