Geoff is a partner with Ottenheimer Baker and practices in a variety of areas, notably personal injury law, condominium law and general litigation.
Geoff is regularly engaged to provide guidance to condominium corporations and their managing boards, especially in areas of unit owner disputes, declaration and by-law interpretation, bylaw amendments and arrear collections. He has been involved in the litigation and settlement of numerous personal injury claims. He has also represented clients in contract disputes, worker’s compensation appeals and maritime and admiralty matters.
Geoff is the past President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter of the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI) (2004-2009). He was vice-chair of the legislation sub-committee which advised the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador on revisions to the Condominium Act, 2009. He was elected to the National Board of Directors of CCI in 2006 and is currently Vice President of the Institute’s National Executive. Geoff recently received his designation as an Associate of the Canadian Condominium Institute (ACCI). He has also made condominium related presentations both locally and nationally.
