Beth is an Associate at Ottenheimer Baker, practicing in areas of corporate and commercial law, intellectual property, oil and gas, energy and natural resources, as well as real estate, wills and estate matters.

Beth was awarded the Acadia University Medal for highest academic achievement in the faculties of Professional Studies while graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Acadia University, Nova Scotia. She received a Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie University Law School and was awarded the Honourable H.G. Puddester Prize Scholarship for her demonstrated academic ability in public law and leadership ability. Beth also earned the Hunt Award for the highest overall marks in the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar admissions course exams as well as a co-recipient of the Penney Award for academic performance in Family Law.

Beth is involved with both the Provincial and National Chapters of the Canadian Bar Association. Provincially, she is a member of the Provincial Executive as the Secretary and previously served as Young Lawyers Section Chair and the Business Law Section Chair. Nationally, Beth is currently the Chair of the Young Lawyers - Canadian Bar Association (YL-CBA). The YL-CBA has over 18,000 members and its purpose is to promote the interests of young lawyers and Quebec notaries in the CBA. Beth is also a member of other National CBA committees.

Beth has been an instructor of Business Law at the Faculty of Business Administration of Memorial University of Newfoundland. Beth also serves on the Board of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation and was previously a director on the Board of the Victorian Order of Nurses.
